A list of amounts does not show clashes. A calendar does: three direct debits on the same Tuesday, a payment arriving four days too late. It is information about dates, and dates are read on a calendar.

Financial calendar

Every planned expense appears directly in the calendar, on its date, even before it has been invoiced. You see your due dates coming instead of discovering them.

Upcoming due dates

An expense that is known but not yet invoiced already sits on its date. Your accounting software will only record it when the invoice arrives.
